Prices for yarn
Washing and picking
Staple length must be between 2 and 6 inches. Sheep wool:15 pound minimum 450 pounds max. Alpaca fleece and Angora Goat (mohair): 10 lbs minimum. Exotics: 10 lbs lbs minimum. Contact about exotic fibers. We have equipment that can process qiviut, bison, angora bunny, and other exotic fibers. We will need to do a small test batch to determine if we are capable of making the type of yarn you desire with your fiber before you send us your order. We do not have a dehairer.
Medium and coarse wool
$9 per pound
- Fee based on incoming dirty weight.
- Washing fee must be paid before processing can begin

- The $9.00 per pound washing fee comes from the total weight of the fibers that you send us. We do not skirt the fleeces before we weigh them. Farms that use wood shavings or gravel as bedding need to make sure that none of that material arrives at the mill. Rocks and wood chunks can damage our equipment. The nicer the fiber you send us, the nicer your end product will be.
Fine fleeces and exotic fibers
$10.50 per pound

Spinning
Prices for finishing yarn are based on out going weight of the skeins.
Yarn ply
Two-ply is standard with no additional fee.
Three-ply has an additional fee of $1 a pound.
Skeining
All yarns are wound into two yard 100 gram skeins unless requested otherwise.
The skeins are then washed and hanked.

- Mill supplied blending fibers cost extra. These will not be included in the washing fee
- You can use the fiber to be blended as part of your minimum weight but no more than 50% of the total fiber can be mill supplied.
- The actual price of the blending fiber depends on the type of fiber you want blended. The deposit will be taken out of the final cost.

Felting
Fiber must be suitable for felting. We can do a small amount and test it for suitability. Not all sheep wool is suitable for felting. Please no Suri Alpaca or Angora Goat unless it is blended 50% with a suitable fiber.
